PROJECT OVERVIEW

LOG LINE

Inspired by true stories, a middle-aged singer and her husband struggle with her infertility, and then, after she gets pregnant, battle the medical community and the courts when they're told that the baby growing inside her belongs to another couple. Along the way they discover the inconceivable consequences of a love that is thicker than blood.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DREAM IT FOR ANOTHER is an independent motion picture drama with music; it has a target MPAA rating of PG-13 for mature themes. It is hoped that the project can be released domestically in theaters, followed by DVD, Blu-ray Disc (BD), Television (TV), Over The Top boxes (OTT), Video On Demand (VOD), and international distribution. The effort will also produce a short DVD documentary and companion book on natural fertilization systems and adoption (available in both paper and e-pub), and an original music soundtrack (available as both a CD and downloads). Target audiences are women and men ages 18 and older.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

DREAM IT FOR ANOTHER has been in development for the past several years. It has garnered considerable interest among pro-life communities. The project was originally conceived as a short 20-minute cautionary tale about I.V.F., and the benefiets of Natural Fertility Systems. It was to be released on religious TV and DVD. Over 100 people volunteered as cast and crew, over $100,000 of in-kind equipment was made available, as well as the free use of locations. Then, logistic and distribution issues cancelled the production just weeks before principle photography was to begin. We were disappointed -- but only momentarily.

We quickly realized there was a good reason for the delay. Because it had been aimed at religious audiences the story was void of realistic conflict. The new effort needed a dose of verisimilitude, a more significant plot that would allow us to target a mainstream theatrical release, and the story needed to include a view on adoption. All of this required significant revision to the screenplay. But we were motivated because we had the creative freedom to tell a truly entertaining and meaningful story.

After incorporating several ideas that has made themselves known a year earlier, Hollywood producer Brian Bird agreed to come aboard as Co-Executive Producer. Brian has an excellent track record in getting projects such as DREAM IT FOR ANOTER made with top talent and into distribution. Brian also made several key suggestons that we have incorporated into the script.

FUNDING GOAL

We estimate the project's budget to be approximately $2 million. An available Business Plan describes the funding, assumptions, comparables, key personnel, recoupment, and ROI if the film is successful. Contact information at the top of this page.
