I find out weeks later that the batteries that have been on the boat for 4 years...
the batteries that I've faithfully kept charged with my sophisticated, 3-stage, battery charger...
are not sealed, maintenance free batteries but in fact need to have
their water checked and topped off now and then.
Duh!
After four years I finally put water into the batteries...
nearly 1 gal of distilled water in each of the four oversized, Die Hard Marines.
And immediately I'm making electricity again. Amazing.
And yes, the sails are up as we enjoy mid 20 knot breeze across Lake St. Claire.
