Great overview of basic facts and theology of Christianity from a renowned scholar!
This book is by one of my college professors from the 1960's, giving a compilation of lectures from the Basic Christianity class, so it's very well organized and covers all the main points of Christianity, enhanced by great photos of the lands of the Bible, and even relevant comic strips to emphasize some of the chief ideas, all brought up to date by the scholarly editor! This will help anyone understand the facts of the Bible and why people believe in its message, with a winsome overview of the big ideas of Christianity.

Wonderful book!
I very much enjoying reading Basic Christianity. It is easy to understand but deeply thoughtful. I have had the honor of hearing Dr. Walters preach at my church many times and it is a pleasure to experience him in print, too.

Superbly written and collated
This is one of the books I like to refer to friends who are not Christian as a starting point to attempt to illustrate the why it is not logical to assert that there is a conflict between Faith and reason. I think it does a stellar job of "making the case" for believing in God, opening minds to then open hearts. Every little bit helps!
